What’s the Matter With South Carolina and Utah?
Why are the Republican delegations from these Red States weaker than they should be?
South Carolina currently sends MEGA Sellouts Tom Rice and Nancy Mace to Washington D.C., as well as Senator Lindsey Graham, an old friend of John McCain’s who worked to undermine MAGA during the entire Trump Administration.

Utah’s two Republican senators are both #NeverTrump, though only one openly flaunts his opposition to the former President. Mike Lee continually tries to expand the number of foreign workers being imported into the country on behalf of Big Tech employers. Microsoft and Google are major donors to Lee. Mitt Romney’s jealousy of Trump (for winning when he couldn’t) and his strong support for globalism are well known.
A poll conducted on Thursday by Rasmussen shows that Romney has an 84% approval rating with Democrats. That compares to a 64% disapproval rating by Republicans in Utah. His approval rating with Dems is more than double his approval with Republicans.
Most Republicans would consider South Carolina and Utah to be very Red States. While they are strongly Republican they are not the most conservative states. Ranking by support for Trump in 2020, Utah is only #13 (58% for Trump) and South Carolina is #19 (55% for Trump).
There are excellent MAGA Representatives from these states (Joe Wilson, Jeff Duncan, William Timmons and Ralph Norman in South Carolina; and all 4 Congressman in Utah including Blake Moore, Chris Stewart, John Curtis, and especially Burgess Owens).

But still, why are the Senators from these Red States so weak?
To be fair, Wyoming voted stronger for Trump than any other state (70%) and Liz Cheney is still a MEGA Sellout, but whether it’s Texas (Dan Crenshaw) or Alaska (Lisa Murkowski), there is usually only one problem member of their delegations.
So why do these two states have such weak MAGA delegations in DC comparatively? What accounts for the imbalance between the high level of conservatism and support for MAGA among voters in these states, versus too many weak-kneed and duplicitous Republican elected officials who represent them in DC?
These are two states with a high percentage of deeply religious voters (Mormons and Evangelicals). Do some religious voters fall too easily for candidates that impress them with the outward appearances of being a family-values candidate and maybe overlook indications that they are weak political fighters? Or is it something else?
We’d like your thoughts. What accounts for such a high proportion of weak Republican elected officials in states that could do so much better? Please share your thoughts in the comments section…

The GOP in Horry County ( Tim Rice’s district) censored Tim Rice. People in Horry County are pissed and that dude will not get any support for another election. That county is totally Maga. Mace replaced a D who managed to sneak in the 1st district ( Charleston area) during the previous election cycle. That area has been so dramatically infiltrated by outsiders from D-controlled areas that it’s not shocking that a D or a weak R.

Only five U.S. states have truly closed Republican primaries. This means that in most states Democrats and independents (even communists) can vote in Republican primaries—and they do. All over the country, the GOP’s enemies vote in Republican primaries to pick the weakest, most wimpy candidate they can. That’s why the Republican base is super patriotic but most of their elected representatives in most states vote like “progressive” Democrats. Close the primaries, Republican patriots. It will transform your party.
