Dan Newhouse (WA-4)
Dan Newhouse is an agricultural scientist serving as the U.S. Representative for Washington's 4th congressional district. Prior to his election to Congress, Newhouse served as director of the Washington State Department of Agriculture and as a member of the Washington House of Representatives.
In December 2020, Newhouse was one of 126 Republican members of the House of Representatives who signed an amicus brief in support of Texas v. Pennsylvania, a lawsuit filed at the United States Supreme Court contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Newhouse then announced his support for the second impeachment of Donald Trump on January 13, expressing regret for not speaking out sooner against Trump's effort to overturn the election— the same efforts he had earlier supported.
