We’re shuttering the Tyrant’s Curse Substack to focus on building a new project, America Mission. We accomplished some incredible things with Tyrant’s Curse but our new MISSION requires a brand with broader appeal and a fresh start free from the baggage of the coordinated censorship aimed at shutting us down.
We have been organizing with hundreds of people from across the country to put together a movement that will put WE THE PEOPLE on offense. We are currently standing up four teams, Elections and Policy - Research and Vetting - PR and Media - Crypto/NFT and Tech. It’s working and hundreds of people are joining us everyday.

BATTLE BORN
In August 2020, just months before the presidential election, our team at America First Projects was dialed in and preparing to make our final election push. It looked like all the money and energy we had invested into building a political force was paying off. Traffic to the America First Projects website was breaking records and our national tour was finally ready to get underway after being delayed since February because of Covid restrictions. That’s when the attacks that nearly destroyed us began.
The first attack came just days before the kickoff to the national tour was set to begin. It was a cyber attack on the America First Projects website where our series on Kamala. Harris’ rise to power was going viral (read: Ambition First: Kamala Harris Would Do ANYTHING In Her Rise To Power)
We stopped the RV in Mesquite Nevada while my Dad and I battled to keep the website up. The hack had inserted a replicating corruption inside America First Projects core database on private servers my family had independently maintained since the 90’s. After 48 hours, we finally had a skeleton page that seemed stable and so I crawled into bed in the back of our RV to finally get some rest.
It seemed like just after I closed my eyes, someone was POUNDING on the door of the RV parked in the backlot of a little casino. Blurry eyed I came charging out of the back to confront what I first thought to be some crackhead who had probably lost his drug money in the Casino. As I reached down to draw my gun, one of the many armed agents outside was able to get my attention and show me his badge. I still believe if I had noticed the agents outside even one second later, they would have killed me when I rose up with my gun in hand…
All of our plans we had spent years of our lives and most of our money went up in flames after they held us at gunpoint, took our cellphones, and delivered us subpoenas for WeBuildTheWall.
DOWN BUT NOT OUT
The website hack and the raid were just part of the attack that sent us bugging out, literally. As we tried to regroup, Bank of America and other banks closed our personal and business accounts. Facebook, Google, and Twitter censored our reach taking our impressions from tens of million a week to less than 250,000. The deliverability and open rates on our nearly million person email list plummeted.
They were NOT going to let us repeat what we did to help President Trump get elected in 2016. Even with the website, the tour, and our lives thrown into utter chaos, we still had political shots to fire and so we abandoned America First Projects and launched Tyrant’s Curse on Substack. We still had and obligation to expose Russia Hoaxers and the Hunter Biden Laptop even while hiding out in a very remote, and secure, location.
Those were dark times and so a poorly rendered digital image of my first tattoo was going to have to do as the logo. The Tyrant’s Curse logo of the Gadsden Snake slithering through the skull of the Jolly Roger symbolizes what happens when pirates and tyrants tread on free people. We mostly ignored the people who told us that it was to dark for them to support. To us, it seemed perfect for the fight we were in.
TAKING DOWN THE MEDIA RUSSIA HOAXERS AND FACEBOOK CENSORSHIP CZAR
The amazing Jen Lawrence was sitting on an investigation where she had documented the group of journalists at Buzzfeed, the NYT, GQ behind the Russia Hoax meeting and coordinating with the head of censorship at Facebook to launch their campaign to delegitimize President Trump.
It was an important story to get out before the election and a cornerstone of our last push election strategy. Big Tech censorship prevented it from ever getting the attention it deserved but it didn’t prevent it from having an impact. Hours after Representative Paul Gosar brought it up on the floor of Congress, Julia Ioffe resigned at GQ (she claimed it was unrelated):
Another story we tried to push through the censorship was how the Hunter Biden Laptop revealed the blackmail and leverage held over Joe Biden by China:
STOP THE STEAL AND JANUARY 6TH
We KNEW the 2020 election was stolen because we LIVED through the brutal and illegal campaign to interfere with the election. TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE ELECTION, big tech demolished our reach, banks blocked our ability to function, and the United States Postal Service Special Forces unit held us at gunpoint in the backlot of casino. WE WERE PISSED.
So in the aftermath of the election we started working with a broad coalition to put an event together in Washington DC in mid-November. It was massive and the plan to do a nationwide tour that had been scrapped after the raid, got put to use on the March for Trump Tour. This was Tyrant’s Curse most trafficked post:
We traveled the country spreading the message of Tyrant’s Curse:
“A well-armed and self-reliant populace, who take personal responsibility and put their faith in God, can never be oppressed and will never be ruled. It is the Tyrant’s Curse. We are the Tyrant’s Curse.”
It’s probably going to require a mini-series to tell the full story of the events that led to January 6th. So, I’ll just summarize it by saying that it was a disaster and it would have a devastating impact on our lives for years to come.
TREADING WATER AND STAYING ALIVE
If we’re speaking honestly, then we have to admit that we’ve gotten our asses kicked by The Tyrants. The last few years have been terrible. Nothing worked and life has mostly been a struggle just to stay alive. The paid Tyrant’s Curse subscriptions often kept us going in our darkest times and we are eternally grateful to everyone who supported us.
The censorship only intensified with January 6th as the justification. The election interference worked so well that 2022 was the first cycle in more than a decade that Jen and I didn’t play an active role in more than a dozen elections for federal office…
It’s only going to get worse if we don’t return to our America Mission and get back in the game. We hope you’ll join us.
